Hi Keith. Thanks for coming to TD Helps with your question!
In order to deposit your friend's check into your account, your friend will need to come to the Store as well with some form of photo ID.
Anytime you need to deposit a check that is not made payable to you into your account, the payee must sign an Endorsement Release Form. This form states that the payee is allowing a check made payable to them, to be deposited into an account to which they do not have access.
There are several forms of acceptable photo ID, such as a driver's license, passport, state ID, and even school ID. In order to ensure that your friend has everything needed to sign this form, we recommend contacting the TD Bank Store you intend to visit. This way you may discuss what forms of ID your friend has access to at this time to ensure they'll be accepted prior to your visit. To find contact info and hours for a Store near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope this helps, Keith. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores.
We hope you have a great week!
