It's our pleasure to assist you today!
We're pleased to inform you that you are able to deposit foreign checks at our TD Bank locations if you currently have an account with us.
At this time, we'd like to let you know that foreign checks must be sent for collection. These cannot be cashed at our Stores.
It's possible for foreign checks to take longer to clear your account than a check drawn from a U.S. institution. For foreign check deposits, please allow approximately 4-6 weeks for the funds to be available. If you have further questions, you may discuss this time frame in better detail with a Banking Specialist at a local TD Bank Store. We also invite you to take a look at our Personal Account Agreement for more details about our funds availability policy: https://go.td.com/2nf0JAI (pages 38-41).
Additionally, there may be fees for the deposit of a foreign check. To take a look at any fees that may apply, please visit https://go.td.com/2kFZ5mK.
If you currently do not have an account with us, and would like to open an account to deposit this item, we would be more than happy to have you and we'll be glad to provide some additional information.
We invite you to take a look at the accounts we currently have to offer, along with any associated minimum daily balances for the account type that you choose. You are able to check out: https://go.td.com/2dIcnAw to view our Savings accounts. We also have a variety of Checking accounts. Feel free to take a look at Checking accounts we currently offer here: https://go.td.com/2eQORxu.
If you need some help determining the right account for you, we recommend checking out our Account Selector here: https://go.td.com/2sx4N2E for a custom recommendation.
To open an account, you are more than welcome to visit any TD Bank Store listed here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR, at which time you can also deposit the check. Or, feel free to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to start the account, or open it online using any of the product links above.
Whichever method you choose, you'll just need your Social Security number and a valid photo ID such as a Driver's License, State ID or Passport.
We hope this helps, Joel, and please take care!
