If the check is made payable to you only and you are not currently listed as a signer on his account, you may be able to deposit this check into your husband's account. To deposit this check, you both must sign the back of the check and also write, "pay to the order of" followed by your husband's name. Also, both parties must be present at the time of deposit. An Endorsement Authorization and Release form must be signed and can be done at any TD Bank during lobby hours. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores for Store locations and lobby hours near you.
Please also keep in mind that government or insurance checks can only be presented for payment to the person listed on the "Payable to" line of the check, and for a check with two payees, these types of checks can only be deposited into a joint account naming both parties.
