I discovered Thursday of last week that almost 1,300 was fraudulently changed from my checking account. I called on Thursday and cancelled my card but I was told I could not file a dispute until the pending charges actually post to my account. It is now Monday and the charges are still pending. I desperately need my money and want to know how long can something steady in a pending status? Once ithese charges post what is the turnaround time for a fraud dispute. Specifically a FRAUD dispute? I would please like an answer other than " typically depends on the type of dispute". The dispute type is fraud. I live in MD. The fraudulent charges were made in the UK and NY.

Thank you for contacting TD Helps, Bryan
A pending transaction typically takes 3-5 business days to post however; the posting date is at the discretion of the merchant.
Once the items have posted and are showing in your account history, you may file a debit card dispute over the phone by calling a Customer Service Representative 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000 or by visiting any TD Bank Store during lobby hours. You can find the nearest location and hours of operation by clicking this link http://go.td.com/28QgINg.
Please know that other disputes may require a visit to a TD Bank Store to be filed.
A debit card (Regulation E) dispute may take up to 10 business days for a decision or a provisional credit to be applied to the account.
Because your question is about your account specifically we recommend that you contact us for more direct information.
You may always contact us if you have any additional questions or concerns.
We hope this helps
