This is a great question.
Here at TD Bank, we're happy to offer a cash advance feature on our debit card to all of our Customers! With our cash advance feature, funds will be immediately debited from the primary checking account that is linked to the card, and it's important to note that because of this, unless your card is enrolled in overdraft protection, funds will need to be available in your account for a cash advance to be successfully completed.
Just in case your account may not be enrolled in any of our overdraft features, we'll be happy to go over them in further detail.
We first offer a discretionary overdraft service, called TD Debit Card Advance. This automatic overdraft feature enables TD bank to cover your everyday debit card transactions, even when you may not have enough money available in your account. We offer this service as a convenience, and as a safety net to give you the peace of mind of knowing that your card will work for you when you need it most.
We also offer Savings Overdraft Protection, where available funds would be drawn from your savings account in the event that your checking account balance falls below $0.00.
