I moved to California recently, and when I applied for a cross border credit card, it was declined because I live in California and TD Bank only has branches along the east coast. I found this to be a bit strange since I was able to open a TD Bank checking account without any problems, and no one mentioned to me that I wouldn't be able to get a credit card while living in California. So I wanted to verify that this is indeed a requirement.
