If you only have a Savings account and do not have an ATM Card at this time, you may certainly obtain an ATM only card. If you have both a Checking account and Savings account, you may wish to obtain a TD Visa Debit Card.
Keep in mind that an ATM Card linked to your savings account can only be used at ATMs. There is no fee for ordering a card however there may be fees applied for the use of ATM machines. To take a look at fees that may be applied please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
Visa Debit Cards have the ability to be used worldwide to make transactions online, at store locations and more. This type of card is able to be linked to a checking account rather than a savings.
There are many ways available to obtain a card and we'd be happy to provide those options with you. We are also happy to inform you that there is no charge to obtain a card. You can call us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 and after account verification, our Banking Specialists will be happy to send a card to your address on file. If you are enrolled in TD Online Banking, you are able to sign in and request a card by sending a secure message. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a Secure Message" located in the “Message Center." If you have not enrolled, please call us 24/7 at the number listed above to speak with our Banking Specialists.
You should then expect to receive your new card via mail within 7-10 business days depending on your Postal Office. Please note, your card will be mailed in a regular white envelope for the security of your account.
You are also able to receive an instant issue ATM/Debit Card by visiting any TD Store during lobby hours. Be sure to bring a valid photo I.D. with you (Driver's license, State issued photo I.D., passport, etc.). To take a look at Store hours and locations near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you wish to obtain a TD Debit Visa Card, you are always welcome to open a Checking account and use the card for both your Checking and Savings account.

Once you've decided on the account type that suits your needs, you are able to open the account in a variety of ways.
You are able to select "Open Account" beneath the product of your choosing right online! If you open your account online, you can make your first deposit using a debit or credit card (Visa or MasterCard), or fund the account with a transfer from another deposit account you may have, using the routing and account numbers. You're also welcome to make your first deposit in person by visiting a TD Store.
Similarly, you are able to visit a TD Store during lobby hours to open an account or call us 24/7 by dialing the number provided above.
Please know that regardless of how you decide to open your account you will need a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D., etc.) and Social Security Number. Furthermore, if you request a Visa Debit Card during the account opening process online or over the phone, you should receive your new card within 7-10 business days depending on your post office. If you would like your card sooner, feel free to visit a TD Store during lobby hours.
