Keep in mind that an ATM Card linked to your savings account can only be used at ATMs. There is no fee for ordering a card however there may be fees applied for the use of ATM machines. To take a look at fees that may be applied please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
Visa Debit Cards have the ability to be used worldwide to make transactions online, at store locations and more. This type of card is able to be linked to a checking account rather than a savings.
There are many ways available to open a savings account. You can call us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 and our Banking Specialists will be happy to help you open an account over the phone. You are also able to open your account online by selecting "Open Account" beneath the product of your choosing or visit a TD Store during lobby hours. Be sure to bring a valid photo I.D. with you (Driver's license, State issued photo I.D., passport, etc.) as well as your Social Security Number. If you wish to obtain a TD Debit Visa Card, you are always welcome to open a checking account and use the card for both your checking and savings account.

Once you've decided on the account type that suits your needs, you are able to open the account in a variety of ways.
You are able to select "Open Account" beneath the product of your choosing right online! If you open your account online, you can make your first deposit using a debit or credit card (Visa or MasterCard), or fund the account with a transfer from another deposit account you may have, using the routing and account numbers. You're also welcome to make your first deposit in person by visiting a TD Store.
Similarly, you are able to visit a TD Store during lobby hours to open an account or call us 24/7 by dialing the number provided above.
Furthermore, if you request a Visa Debit Card during the account opening process online or over the phone, you should receive your new card within 7-10 business days depending on your post office. If you would like your card sooner, feel free to visit a TD Store during lobby hours.
