I dont have a smart phone but can send a text to ask for my balance at other banks. looking to do that with TD bank

Welcome to TD Helps, Cathy.
While we do not offer balance alerts via text message at this time, we do offer the capability to set up email balance alerts. These alerts will send you an email if your balance falls below a certain amount (which will be designated by you when creating the alert).
To set this up, you must first be enrolled for Online Banking, which can be completed here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your account number, debit card number and Social Security number to get started. Once you're enrolled and logged in, please click on the "Alerts" tab and then select "Set Up New Alert."

If you would like to enroll in email alerts, you would first need to sign in to Online Banking here: http://go.td.com/1eaISlq or enroll using the link mentioned above. Once logged in, you are able to follow the steps below to create Alerts:
1. Click on the “Alerts” tab at the top of the screen.
2. Click "Set Up New Alert"
3. Choose the type of message you want to receive and enter your specifications.
