Welcome to TD Helps Anne.
Direct deposit is a great way to ensure your funds are available to you on the date designated by your depositor. Generally speaking, in order to accurately process a direct deposit, your depositor must have correct routing number, account number, and they must have encoded the account properly as either a Checking or a Savings account. As long as the above information is provided correctly by the depositor, funds should be deposited to that account at your choice. Although we do not recommend sharing your account number for security purposes.
If you have been asked by your employer to provide them with a void check or a direct deposit form, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1sSvhT6 where you can view and print our already prepared form. Once you print it, just fill in your personal information and hand the completed form to your employer and they'll do the rest!
