Hi, Carmen, thanks for coming by TD Helps. We would be happy to provide some suggestions in order to make electronic transfers.
First, if you are currently enrolled for our Online Banking, you may be eligible to send money electronically to another person's account in California by signing up for our Popmoney service. In order to be eligible for using Popmoney service, you must have a TD Bank Personal Checking account, a unique United States phone number, a United States issued Social Security Number, and a valid unique e-Mail address. To initiate a Person-to-Person payment, you’ll need to be logged in to Online Banking from here http://bit.ly/1eaISlq.
- First, you must enroll in the service. To do so, you would select the tab that says Person-to-Person payments at the top of your Online Banking screen.
- Then, you will be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you.
- Next we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process.
You will have two delivery options when sending a Person-to-Person payment; there is the three business day option and the next business day delivery. Please note, the next day delivery option is not available for savings accounts. To qualify for the next day delivery option, you must wait 90 days from your first successful 3-day transfer and must not have had any transactions that overdrew your account in the past 90 days.
Please note that there may be fees for the use of the above services. We invite you to take a look at our Fee Schedule here: https://go.td.com/2kFZ5mK.
You will not need to provide the routing number of the receiver's for Person-to-Person payment. You’re welcome to check out https://go.td.com/2nUP86H for all of the exciting details.
If you are not currently enrolled for Online Banking and wish to enroll for Online Banking for your Personal Checking account, you may use our self-service option by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your Social Security Number and your email address. Once at the page, please select "Personal" from the drop down box. When you select continue, you will have to read and accept the Online Banking Service Agreement. Then you will be asked to enter your personal information including the items mentioned earlier and to create a user name and password. Finally you will be asked to create three security questions. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
If you do not have the required information to set up for Online Banking or you need assistance enrolling, you may contact us 24/7 at 1-800-493-7562 to speak with a Digital Banking Specialist. Upon proper account verification, we would be happy to help get you started.
If Person-to-Person Payment is not an option for you or you have a TD Business Checking account, you may wish to visit your local TD Bank store to initiate a domestic outgoing wire transfer. For hours and locations near you please take a look at: http://bit.ly/TDStores. Once at the Store, you will need to provide the name, address and routing number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number.
We hope this helps Carmen. Thanks again for coming by TD Helps, and come back again any time!
