Welcome to the TD Helps Community, Natalie. We are happy to point you in the right direction today.
For Mobile Deposit, if both signers that are listed on the account are on the check, you both must endorse the back of the check before submitting your check deposit.
Please keep in mind that the $100 same-day availability policy which applies to most Teller and ATM deposits does not apply to Mobile Deposits.
In general, when you make a mobile deposit, if it is made before 8:00 pm EST on a business day, the funds will be made available for withdrawal on the following business day. Please note that a business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and Federal Holidays. If your deposit is made after 8:00 pm EST on a business day or on any weekend or Federal Holiday, the next business day will be considered the deposit date.
For example, if you make a mobile deposit on a Saturday, the deposit date will be Monday, since that is the next business day; your funds would then generally be available on Tuesday morning. For more information, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1ff8byL (the deposit availability details are listed in section 7).
Also, for more information on funds availability and deposits that may be applied for longer delays, please take a look here for our Personal Deposit Account Agreement: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (Pg. 38-41).
If you prefer to visit a TD Store location, to deposit the check instead, we're happy to say that TD Bank accepts third party check deposits. A third party check is written to one party only and endorsed by that payee, who then endorses the check over to another person.
Please note, we recommend that both parties be present with a Teller and their valid Identification, and an Endorsement Authorization & Release Form must be completed at the time of the deposit.
Please keep in mind, government or insurance checks can only be presented for payment to the person listed on the "Payable to" line of the check, and for a check with two payees, these types of checks can only be deposited into a joint account naming both parties.
If you need further assistance, you may contact our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000. You may also feel free to visit your local TD Bank store for additional assistance. To find out TD store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps, Natalie. Take care!
