Good morning, Carly! Thanks for coming to TD Helps with your question.
Please feel free to make your mobile deposit!
When a check is made out to two individuals, but uses the word "or", either one of the payees should be able to sign the check and deposit it into their account.
The only difficulty arises when a check is made payable to more than one person and uses the word "and". In that case, both payees must sign the check and it would need to be deposited into an account that both signers are on. To deposit the check into an account that only one of the payees is on, requires visiting a TD Bank Store with photo ID and signing an Endorsement Release Form.
We hope this helps! If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
