Hello, I have both a chequings account and a Visa card from TD Bank. I am signing a new lease and need a relatively large cashier's cheque. Can I draw this amount from my credit card? Is there a limit to the amount (other than my credit limit)? Is the fee different than from a chequings account (normally 8$)? Thanks!

Great to have you with us here on TD Helps, Emilie!
As a Customer of ours, you would be more than welcome to purchase an Official Check from us at any of our Stores. We'd like to let you know that these can be purchased with cash or via withdrawal from one of your deposit accounts. We're not able to draw the funds directly from your credit card with us and we apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. Official Checks can be purchased in any amount; please note that they must be made payable to a party's name and cannot be made payable to Cash.
We can advise that you may be able to complete a cash advance from your credit card, which could be used to purchase your Official Check. We can suggest that you check with our Card Services Department directly before attempting this option, to see if this is available for your credit card account and to ask about your limits and any applicable fees for a cash advance. Within our Stores, you can advance up to $5000.00 per card/per day (or up to the limit on your card, if it is less). Feel free to reach our Specialists directly at 888-561-8861, 24/7.
The fee to purchase the Official Check would remain the same no matter which method you choose to use for the payment and you're able to check out our current Fee Schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. Feel free to stop in at any of our Stores once you're ready to purchase this: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps, Emilie!
Thanks again for getting in touch and best of luck with your new lease!
