In reply to Juan, Bridgeport
Great question, Juan. Thanks for joining us tonight and it'll be our pleasure to help!
Since you're asking about opening an account with your tax identification number, Juan, it sounds as though you be a Green Card holder, or be here in the U.S. on a Visa, for example. If this is the case, you're still welcome to open an account with us and we invite you to stop in at any TD Bank Store listed here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to do so.
In addition to a valid U.S. address, you'll want to bring your identification as well, and if you don't have a primary form of identification such as a U.S. Driver's license, U.S. State ID or a U.S. Passport, please bring two forms of identification with you. One form of ID must be a valid non-US Passport or Visa with photo and the second form of valid ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- U.S. Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
The options to open an account online or via phone may also be open to you, if you do have primary identification such as a U.S. Driver's license, U.S. State ID or a US Passport, for example. You'll also need to have an address within our footprint from Maine to Florida. If you meet these requirements, feel free to give us a call at 888-751-9000 or use this link: http://bit.ly/1uoX1R4 to begin your application.
If you haven't already done so, we invite you to take a look at the account options we offer and find one you like! To view and compare our checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a checking account that is the best fit for you. To view and compare savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9 , or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
If you are referring to a business you may have, Juan, then you are also welcome to establish a business account with us using your tax ID number. To review the Business Checking options we offer, please visit http://bit.ly/1uCacgJ, or feel free to use our Business Checking Selector tool: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw to make sure you have the best product for you. If you need assistance while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be a happy to help via telephone at 855-278-8988, and they can also make an appointment for you at any TD Bank Store you'd like. You may also request a call from a Small Business Banking Specialist; please click here: http://bit.ly/K9iZ78 to fill in our form and we'll call you within 24 business hours.
For your business account, it can be opened at any TD Bank Store. When visiting a Store, in addition to the documents listed earlier, you will also need to bring the Tax Identification number for the business, the legal name, and physical address. Also, please note that depending on the type of business you have, there may be additional documents you will need to bring with you. We'd recommend that you discuss this prior to stopping in at a Store, either by speaking with one of our Business Specialists as mentioned above or by contacting your preferred location. The telephone numbers for our Stores are listed at our Location Finder as posted above.
Hope this covers it for you, Juan! We look forward to chatting with you more about your banking needs and we'll talk to you again soon!
