Thank you for submitting your question to us on TD Helps, Ali. We appreciate your concern and we're happy to clear up some confusion.
First, in order to open an individual account with TD Bank, we do have to let you know that you're required to be 18 years of age or older. That being said, for anyone under the age of 18, you may open a joint Checking or Savings Account with a Guardian or Custodian by visiting any TD Bank Store.
Since you're under the age of 18, if you are interested in opening the account with a parent or guardian, they will want to bring a valid form of identification such as a State License, State ID or Passport and their Social Security number to open the account. Acceptable forms of identification for minors include a School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security card. Joint accounts may only be opened at a TD Bank location. Please check out: http://go.td.com/TDStores for a TD Store near you.
Just in case you'd like to review them, you'll be glad to know that TD Bank offers a wide array of accounts and we invite you to visit the below links for more information. Feel free to check out: http://go.td.com/1gAWlhY to view our Checking Selector and visit http://go.td.com/UbFOwS for the different types of checking accounts TD Bank offers. TD Bank also offers different types of savings accounts; for more information, take a look here: http://go.td.com/1hQscMj, and for a personalized recommendation, click here: http://go.td.com/1hQscMj.
Any questions at all, we're here to help! Just give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000, and we'll be happy to assist.
We are always here to help, Ali. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions.
