Thanks for dropping by TD Helps! We'll be happy to help you out today. That's great that you and your husband would like to open a savings account for your son. It's never too early to save for the future.
You mentioned you were interested in opening a Savings Account with TD Bank. We invite you to take a look at the different types of Savings Account we currently offer, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1l6nLQ7. You may also click here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM for a customized recommendation with our Savings Selector Tool.
Please note, to open a joint account, all signers must be present at the time of account opening. Please keep in mind that you will need to provide a valid form of identification to open the account, such as a State License, State ID or Passport. Acceptable forms of identification for minors include a School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security Card.
Prior to your visit, we recommend connecting with your local TD Store to answer any additional questions you may have regarding the joint account with your minor. Once you have decided on the best account for your banking needs, because you are looking to open a joint account, we ask that you and your husband visit your local TD Store, during lobby hours, for further assistance. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
We hope this helps and let us know if you have any questions, MM!
