My elderly mom lives in Florida I would like to open a joint account with her but I live in massachusetts. Do I really have to fly down to Florida just to be there to open the account? Can she open the account there and have paperwork sent to my branch here?

Good morning, Brenda.
We appreciate you bringing your concerns to TD Helps today, and we'll be more than happy to help.
We'd like to take a moment to explain that, depending on the state, the account opening process may vary, and because of this, we'd like to recommend that you connect with your nearest TD Store location for further assistance with determining if your mom is able to be added to an account with you from a different state.
For your convenience, we have provided a link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR which can help you in locating your nearest Store location, as well as their contact information. We'd also like to recommend that you connect with your TD Store location during lobby hours so that you may speak with a Customer Service Representative.
We apologize that we were unable to assist you further today, Brenda, but we hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
