Thanks for your interest in opening a Savings account with TD Bank, Sheila.
We'd like to let you know that you're more than welcome to open a new Savings account. We invite you to take a look at the Savings accounts we currently offer, which are listed here: https://go.td.com/1pJT9I9. If you're not sure which Savings account might suit you the best, you can also take advantage of our Savings Selector Tool, which is found here: https://go.td.com/1vW1DvM, which provides a personalized recommendation for you based on your needs for the account.
Once you have decided the type of the Savings account you wish to open, you may visit www.tdbank.com or click here: http://bit.ly/1fN7u4i to take you directly to the account opening application.
Additionally, you may also feel free to call us directly 24/7 at (888) 751-9000 with any questions you may have and set up your new account via telephone.
As always, you are welcome to stop by your nearest TD Bank Store to speak with a Banking Specialist regarding new account options to determine what Savings account product type fits you the best. To find TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores. You will need to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
To make a direct deposit into an account, you'll need the routing and account number, along with account type (checking versus Savings). In your case you would want the depositor to be aware that the deposit will be made into a Savings account.
We'd like to take this opportunity to let you know that our routing numbers are based on the state where you originally opened your account. Here is a list of our current routing numbers: http://go.td.com/1cmRPoF. If you do not remember where your account was opened, one of our Banking Specialist can help, upon account verification. Feel free to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Also, you can visit us during lobby hours to confirm this information. For a list of Store locations and hours, check out: http://go.td.com/TDStores.
We hope this helps, and please take care Sheila.
