We appreciate you reaching out to us, Daw and will be more than happy to assist you with your question.
You have the option of opening a joint account together or your son may even open an account by himself. If you choose to open a savings account you would be able to have an ATM only card for that account. For savings account options, please check out: http://bit.ly/1r5N0DG.
If your son would rather have a debit card with a Visa logo in which he’d be able to make purchases anywhere Visa is accepted, a checking account must be opened. We invite you to visit http://bit.ly/1s58xwU to view the multiple account types we offer.
You are able to open an account online. While viewing the different account types we offer, you should see an orange button that says “Open Account” under the “View Details” of the account you are interested in opening. You may use this method to open an account online; however, you are only able to open an account with one signer using this method. You are welcome to visit any TD Bank location after the account is opened to add additional signers. Feel free to visit http://bit.ly/TDStores for the closest location near you.
Thanks for stopping by TD Helps and let us know if you have any other questions.
