Hello Vivian! Thank you for contacting us here at TD Helps!
You are absolutely able to open an account online at TDBank.com! Before opening an account or accounts with TD Bank, we recommend you find the right account for you and your banking needs. Here at TD Bank, we offer many types of Checking accounts and Savings accounts. For a customized recommendation with our Checking Account Selector, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU and check out: http://bit.ly/1napmDy for the types of Checking accounts available. For a personalized recommendation for a Savings account, click here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM and also here: http://bit.ly/1l6nLQ7 for the different types of Savings account.
Once you've decided on which account is best for you, you can open the account via the internet by clicking on the "Open Account" box which will be listed at the bottom of each account details. To get started, you'll need the following: Your Social Security number and ID (driver's license, State ID, or Passport). To make a first deposit online, you may use a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or you can stop by your local TD Store to make a deposit.
You also have the option to open it over the phone, please call Customer Service at 1-888-751-9000, available 24/7, and we will be happy to help you open the account. Once the account is opened, you will have 30 business days to make your first deposit.
Additionally, you have the option of visiting us at your local TD Store to open an account. If you choose this option, you will need to make an initial deposit to the account you selected. There would not be a minimum requirement to open the account; however, some accounts have requirements in order to have certain fees waived. We would encourage you to review the link above prior to visiting a Store. For hours and locations near you, take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this information has been helpful and that you have a wonderful day!
