Welcome to TD Helps, Diana and thank you for considering TD for your banking needs.
You'll be happy to know that you are able to open an account with a check including your tax return as long as your name is displayed on it. Keep in mind that if your tax return was filed jointly and the return check has been issued to yourself and another individual, the check would need to be deposited into an account that has both names on it.
We invite you to take a look at what accounts we currently offer by clicking here: http://bit.ly/Wczmq0 for a list of checking accounts or for a personalized recommendation click here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9. For savings accounts check out http://bit.ly/1l6nLQ7, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM : which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
You can open an account with us via online, over the telephone or at any TD Bank location during lobby hours. If you choose to open an account online, click on the "Open Account" button underneath the account that you would like to open. If you would like to open the account over the phone, you may contact our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 to have a Customer Service Representative open an account for you. If you decide to visit a TD bank location, take a look at: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
Keep in mind that to open the accounts you will need to supply a valid identification (Driver's license, state issued photo ID or passport) and your Social Security Number.
We hope this helps, Diana! Have a good day.
