Thanks for considering TD for your banking needs, Jamila. We'd be glad to help.
We recommend taking a look at the account types we have to offer. To take a look at our current accounts and see what may suit you, we encourage you to take a look at our Checking accounts here: https://go.td.com/2af7hJp, or use our Checking account Selector at https://go.td.com/KmmHe7. Our Savings products are listed here: https://go.td.com/1l6nLQ7, or use our Savings Selector Tool at https://go.td.com/1hXi2wF.
Once you're ready to open an account with us, you are able to do so online by selecting "Open Account," by visiting any TD Store or calling us 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Please know regardless of the method you choose, you will need a Social Security Number and a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.).
In regard to the check you mentioned, we recommend reaching out to the TD Store you plan on visiting prior to your trip to determine if they will accept the check.
We hope this helps, Jamila. Have a good day!
