I made a PayPal account recently and connected my savings account to it. I don't have a credit or debit card. Is it possible to make online payments (like Amazon or Spotify) through PayPal using my savings account?

Good morning, Brigid, and thanks for bringing your concerns to TD Helps today!
We'll be happy to clear up any confusion.
Typically speaking, Savings accounts are not normally used as a transaction account as some limits may apply; however, if you were able to link your Savings account to your PayPal account, you should be able to perform transactions this way as long as this is a service offered by PayPal.
As you stated that you do not have a Debit Card, we'd like to take a moment to go over the perks of having one, as they are not only convenient, but also secure!
TD Bank VISA Debit Cards are accepted worldwide, wherever VISA is accepted, and there are no foreign transaction or ATM fees when you use a TD Bank ATM at any one of our thousand locations. You're able to use your Debit Card for purchases in person, online, over the phone, or even using your digital wallet, such as Apple Pay or Samsung Pay. You will also have the peace of mind in knowing that TD Bank is here to protect and safeguard your account in unlikely event that fraud should unfortunately occur.
If you'd like to learn more about TD Bank Debit Cards, we invite you to check out the link here: https://go.td.com/2eVSt4u.
If you'd be interested in obtaining a Debit Card, and have not yet opened a Checking account, feel free to use the link here: https://go.td.com/2hbuGjJ to take a look at the current Checking accounts offered. If you're having trouble deciding, feel free to use our Selector Tool here: https://go.td.com/2sx4N2E. After answering a few simple questions, we'll make a recommendation for you based on your needs.
Once you're ready to open your account, you may do so by simply clicking the orange 'Open Account' button below the account of your choosing, and once your account is open, you'll be able to obtain a Debit Card by either visiting a TD Store location, or calling and speaking with a Banking Specialist at 1-888-751-9000 to have a card mailed to your address. A Specialist will also be happy to link your Savings account to your Debit Card, and you'll have access to this account as well for things such as ATM Withdrawals.
If you'd like, you're also able to open your new account by calling the number above, or visiting a TD Store location, during lobby hours, to speak with a Customer Service Representative. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Should you decide to open your new account at a TD Store location; a Representative will be happy to provide you with a Debit Card on the spot. You will leave with your new card in your hand on that same day!
We sincerely hope this helps, and if you have any additional questions or concerns, you're always able to reach a Specialist at the number above, or even by visiting a TD Store location.
Thanks again for stopping by, Brigid. Take care!
