Hello, Can I request my account number to be changed along with new debit card?
If not, can I close/reopen my student account? Im having a semester off but can I still open for student checking?
What are the consequences?

Good of you to come by TD Helps, J! We'll be sure to answer any questions you may have.
You are free to close your current account and open a new one at any given time. Please note that once accounts are closed, they cannot be reopened. As long as you meet the general requirements, such as being under 24 years of age, enrolled in a full time college or university, you can open up a new student checking account. Feel free to check out: http://bit.ly/S8Vejp for more details on our Student Check account. You may also apply for a new debit card when you open your new account. Please note that if you decide to open your account over the telephone or online, your debit card should arrive at your home address within 7-10 business days. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you. Also, if you choose to open your account at a Store, you'll receive a new debit card on the spot! Should you have any questions, give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
We hope this answers your question, J and have a good week!
