I made a money order with td bank to pay a service. the service says that the payment is not needed and wants to return the money order to me. I want to know is there a way to get the funds back?

Thank you for bringing us your question, Jason. We'd be happy to help.
If you have an active account with TD Bank and the money order was purchased with us, you may write, "Not Used For Intended Purpose" on the back of the money order and you'll be able to deposit the funds into your account with us. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank Store near you to deposit the money order.
If you did not purchase the money order through TD Bank, please reach out to the financial institution that issued it for additional assistance.
Have a great day, Jason!
