Can I set my bank account so it does not allow direct debits or checks to go though if there is not enough money in my account? I have already turned off the debit card advance feature.

Hi Jessica. Great question!
We do have an account setting that should return check and ACH payments if there is not enough money in the account to cover them. We do want to make you aware that overdraft fees may still apply for returned payments. You can view our Personal Fee Schedule at https://go.td.com/2kFZ5mK.
We'd love to help make sure your account is set up in a way that works best for you. If you'd like to review the details of this option and possibly set your account this way, give us a call at 888-751-9000 or visit any TD Bank Store location. You can find a Store near you by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We look forward to speaking with you soon, Jessica. Have a great weekend!
