I am planning a family reunion. I am working with a committee and we would like to collect funds from family members for activities, tee shirts, etc. We would like to open an account for the event to deposit funds as well as write checks to distribute to various vendors.
I am told that some banks offer temporary checking accounts for events.
Since this is for one event, we would prefer not to apply for an EIN and setup a business.
I would really like to find out my options with TD Bank. We would also like to include the names of at least 3 committee members of the committee as authorized signers. In addition, committee members may reside in multiple states (i.e. DE, NJ, NY).
Thanks in advance for guidance and information.

Thank you for considering TD Bank for your family reunion event, Bernadette.
As you're looking to set up a business account, the account signer(s) must visit a TD Bank Store, during lobby hours and be present for the account opening process along with the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. Business accounts also require a legal name, physical address and a Tax ID Number (TIN). To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Due to your unique situation, we highly recommend reaching out to the Store you intend to visit before you come by to confirm if a business account can be set up for your family event without TIN.
If you have not yet done so, we also suggest reviewing the types of business accounts. If you take a look here, http://bit.ly/1lWgAhe , the link shows the types of business Checking accounts that we offer. Our web page can even make a selection based on your needs with the Business Checking Selector tool: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw. If you have any questions while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be happy to assist you over the telephone. You can reach them by dialing 855-278-8988.
