Thanks for joining us here at TD Helps, Atsuko. We'd be happy to help provide some information.
If you have old checks without the TD Bank logo, you may still be able to present them, however; it would be up to the payee's discretion if they would like to honor the payment. Since some routing numbers have changed, it is possible for the old checks to be declined if the payee attempts to convert the payment into an electronic transaction. For these reasons we recommend obtaining new checks to ensure proper processing.
If you have never ordered checks with TD Bank before please call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000. As you're currently in Japan, please call us at 1-856-751-9000, or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518. For your convenience, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The US country code is 1-011.
Please note, after your order is placed, checks typically take 7-10 business days to arrive to your address on file. If you address reflects your address is Japan, receiving your checks may take longer. Also, when ordering checks, the cost is based on the type of account you have with TD Bank, the style of checks you order and if it is your first order or a re-orders.
Additionally, if you have a personal Checking account with us and already use the TD Bank Online Banking service, you can order new checks right through our site by following the steps below:
• Log into Online Banking by clicking: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq • Click on the ''Customer Service tab'' • Under ''Self Service'' section click on ''Order Checks''
If you are not currently enrolled for Online Banking and wish to enroll for your personal accounts, you may use our self-service option by visiting: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your Social Security number and your email address. Once at the page, please select "Personal" from the drop down box. When you select continue, you will have to read and accept the Online Banking Service Agreement. Then you will be asked to enter your personal information including the items mentioned earlier and to create a user name and password. Finally you will be asked to create three security questions. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
If you need assistance, please call us at the numbers listed above.
We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you Ms. Colleen B for your kind reply. I have some more questions to ask you. Right now I am trying to transfer some amount of money from my TD Bank account to my Japanese bank account; therefore, the payee is myself, and a check (from my old checkbook) will be forwarded via a Japanese bank (plus another bank in the U.S., perhaps?) to the TD Bank. Will the check be safely forwarded to the TD Bank, or is there any problems?
