I'm just wondering. There is a check that is already pending on my account but it was written in the wrong amount. I wrote it out wrong. Can i stop payment if it is already pending? Or will it still go over...

Thanks for joining us tonight, Brad and we'll be glad to discuss the options for this with you.
First, we'd like to let you know that you can still place a stop payment on an electronic check (ACH transaction) item on your account while it is pending. However, we always recommend placing stop payments as soon as possible and please keep in mind that we won't be able to guarantee that the item will be stopped.
In addition we'd like to mention that transactions made with your TD Bank Visa Debit card cannot be stopped using a stop payment. Also, if you've scheduled this payment using TD Bank Bill Pay, a stop payment may cause an interruption to your Bill Pay service. To avoid this, if your payment was scheduled there, please give our Tech Support a ring 24/7 at 800-493-7562 to determine your options.
That being said, if you'd like to place the stop payment, our Specialists would be more than happy to assist you 24/7 at 888-751-9000. We can certainly help in placing the stop payment upon account verification.
You may also place a stop payment via Online Banking. To request a stop online, you will need to first log on to your online banking account. If you have personal TD accounts and are signed up for our retail online banking, please click here http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. If you are a TD Bank BusinessDirect user, please direct your browser to http://bit.ly/1rvBmq8. Click on the Customer Service tab on the top right, then use the Stop Payment link prompts to complete your request.
To get set up for Online Banking, you can follow this link: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. This will take you directly to the “Online Banking Sign Up” page. You will need your account number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card number, your social security number and your E-mail address. Once you complete the application you will have access to your online account right away.
Also, depending on your Checking account type, there may be a fee applied for a stop payment. Please visit: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt to view our current Fee Schedule.
In addition, you may also stop by your nearest TD Bank Store location to request the stop payment request in person. To find out TD store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Hope this helps a bit, Brad! Let us know about any questions and have a great weekend!
