Hi there Joe,
Good afternoon to you and thanks for getting in touch with us today.
Joe, you'll be glad to know that we can convert your current checking account to another type of checking account with no interruption to your current account number or debit card. We're able to do so as long as you keep the same product type (for example, checking to checking or savings to savings).
To change your account type, we'd be happy to be of assistance via phone. Our knowledgeable Customer Service Representatives are available 24/7 at 888-751-9000, and can assist you in comparing accounts, if needed, and helping you with a switch.
You're also welcome to send us a Secure Message to change your account type. To do so, please log in at http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Once you have logged in, locate the Customer Service tab at the top right, and then click on Send a Message. Please submit your inquiry including your account number and the type of account you're requesting, and a friendly Representative will respond shortly.
Or if you're nearby, you're always invited to any local TD Bank Store where a Representative can provide help. Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores for a listing of locations and hours near you.
We hope this answers your question, Joe!
Wishing you a great evening and we'll speak with you soon!

Thanks for joining in, Patricia!
To update your current account to a different account type, we recommend reaching out to us using one of the methods that Kristen mentions above. Once speaking with a Banking Specialist, they will be glad to help you make this change.
Please know that we would like to assist you directly however, TD Helps is considered an unsecured forum and we do not have access to your account/personal information.
We hope to hear from you soon, Patricia and have a good day.
