Thanks for joining us here at TD Helps, Nate. We’d be happy to help!
With our Person-to-Person Payment feature via your TD Online Banking, you can certainly transfer funds from your TD Account to anyone, whether they bank with TD Bank or any Financial Institution, within the US. You will be able to send money via text or email. We invite you to check out: http://bit.ly/1cz3aim for all of the exciting details.
To use this feature, you will first need to log onto your TD Online Banking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. If you are not enrolled, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit card, your Account number, and your e-mail address. If you do not have any of the following – no worries, please call one of our 24/7 Online Specialists at 888-751-9000. After account verification, we'd be happy to help get you set up!
Once you have logged into your Online Banking, select the “Person-to-Person” tab to enroll for this specific feature (The “Person-to-Person” tab should show at the top of your page after logging into your TD Bank Online Banking. As long as you have a US address on file, you should be able to send funds using this option to another US account). You will then be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and the email address we have on file for you. Next, we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process. Once the enrollment is complete, you’ll be ready to send the payment which the other person will receive in one business day or three business days as per your selection.
Please keep in mind that this feature does come with limits on the amount you can send. For the information on the payment methods and amounts, please check out this link: http://bit.ly/1pADlWD (Pg 3. section1.16). To locate your Person-to-Person payments limits, please select the "Person-to-Person Payments" tab, and then click on the "Send Money" tab. After you select the contact you wish to send funds to, a "View Limits" link will appear beside the "Amount" field. If you click on that link, a side window will pop up showing you your transfer amount limits.
If the amount you are looking to transfer exceeds your daily limits, you may wish to initiate an outgoing transfer. To do so, please visit your local TD Store here: http://bit.ly/TDStores and please be sure to have the following:
