When you are ready to open your new account, you will need to provide your name, street address, date of birth, Social Insurance number and valid identification to complete the account opening process. Please keep in mind that your Canadian consumer credit profile will also be used to verify your identity.
Once your new account is set up, you may want to take advantage of our Cross Border Banking service. You can transfer funds between your TD Bank US and TD Canada Trust accounts, free of charge. If you wish to, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 at the number listed above. In order to transfer funds from your new TD Bank US account to another TD Customer's account, you may easily process a Person-to-Person payment via online banking. In order to be eligible to use the Person-to-Person payment service, you must have a United States address, a unique United States phone number, a United States issued Social Security number and a valid unique email address. You must also be enrolled for Online Banking and be using a TD Bank personal Checking or Money Market account for the transfer.
To enroll for Online Banking for your new Personal Checking account, you may use our self-service option by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your US Social Security Number and your email address. Once at the page, please select "Personal" from the drop down box. When you select continue, you will have to read and accept the Online Banking Service Agreement. Then you will be asked to enter your personal information including the items mentioned earlier and to create a user name and password. Finally you will be asked to create three security questions. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
If you do not have the required information to set up for Online Banking or you need assistance enrolling, you may contact us 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000 to speak with a Banking Specialist. Upon proper account verification, we would be happy to help get you started.
Once you're enrolled for our Online Banking, you may initiate a Person-to-Person payment. To start, you’ll need to be logged in to Online Banking from here http://bit.ly/1eaISlq.
- First, you must enroll in the service. To do so, you would select the tab that says Person-to-Person payments at the top of your Online Banking screen.
- Then, you will be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you.
- Next we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process.
You will have two delivery options when sending a Person-to-Person payment; there is the three business day option and the next business day delivery. Please note, the next day delivery option is not available for savings accounts. To qualify for the next day delivery option, you must wait 90 days from your first successful 3-day transfer and must not have had any transactions that overdrew your account in the past 90 days.
Please note that there may be fees for the use of the above service. We invite you to take a look at our Fee Schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. You’re also welcome to check out http://bit.ly/1pADlWD for all of the exciting details.
If Person-to-Person Payment is not an option for you, you can still make a deposit to another TD Bank account. There are several ways for you to make deposits into a TD Bank account. One way you could make a deposit would be by visiting a TD Bank location with cash and the other TD Customer's account number. Another way to make a deposit would be to make a check payable to the other TD Customer and write “for deposit only” with his/her account number on the back of the check. Regardless of the option you choose, the deposit can be processed with a Teller in the Lobby or Drive-thru at any TD Bank location. When making the deposit directly into the other account, there is no charge to you.
We hope this helps to make banking on both sides of the border convenient.

Thank you for joining us here at TD Helps, Claude. You came to the right place for information.
If your transfer will be coming from a TD Canada Trust account, you may want to take advantage of our Cross Border Banking service. You can transfer funds between your TD Bank US and TD Canada Trust accounts, free of charge. If you wish to, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 at 1-877-700-2913. If this transaction will be processed from a non-TD Canada Trust account, you may initiate an International Wire Transfer by contacting the sending bank. We recommend contacting the sending bank for further instructions or requirements you may need to adhere
For international US currency incoming wire transfers you will need to provide the foreign bank the wire instructions provided below:
Wire to: TD Bank, N.A
Credit to: Our Customer's Account Title
Our Customer's Address
Our Customer's Account Number
We hope this helps to make banking on both sides of the border convenient. Have a great day,
Customer Service Team, Mount Laurel
