Hello Monica, thanks for writing in and we'll be more than happy to respond.
You have multiple options to transfer funds from your TD account to your account at another Financial Institution, including BB&T.
We would first recommend our External Transfers service provided via Online Banking. This service is used if you're sending money from your personal account with TD Bank to your account at another Financial Institution within the United States. For the Transfers Terms and Conditions please see: http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
In order to be eligible to use our External Transfer service, you must have a United States address, a unique United States phone number, a United States issued Social Security number and a valid unique email address. You must also be enrolled for Online Banking and be using a personal TD Bank Checking, Savings or Money Market account for the transfer.
If you are already enrolled for Online Banking, please log onto your account here http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. After logging onto your account, please choose the "Transfers" tab. Then click on "Transfer to Accounts Outside TD Bank." You will then be asked to accept a user agreement and review the fee schedule.
After the enrollment is completed, you may continue to schedule a transfer by adding your account at a different institution. To do so, select "Add a New Account." You will then be prompted to select the type of account followed by the account and routing numbers. Once you enter the required fields, the transfer service will then display whether or not you can make an immediate transfer. In some cases, a trial deposit is initiated at the receiving institution for verification purposes. You’re welcome to check out http://bit.ly/1jXKYqq for all of the exciting details.
If you are not currently enrolled for Online Banking for your personal accounts, you may start your enrollment by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card number, your Social Security number and your email address. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your TD account(s). Please contact us 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000 to speak with a Banking Specialist if you do not have the required information to set up for Online Banking or you need assistance enrolling. Upon proper account verification, we would be happy to help get you started.
If External Transfers is not available to you or you have business account(s) with us, you may consider wire transfers. You can send wires to any bank within the country and across the globe! Kindly keep in mind that some transactions may take longer than others. You may also want to contact the other financial institution to determine what information they require to receive the wire. Take a look at the fee schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt (please refer to "Funds Transfers") for the fees that may apply for the transfer services mentioned above.
Let us know if you have any other questions. We hope you have a nice day, Monica!
