Happy Thursday, Greta, and welcome to TD Helps.
It's great to hear from you today, and we'll be more than happy to assist you with your transfer!
Here at TD Bank, we currently offer a free person to person transfer service to our Customers, called Send Money! With this service, you'll have the ability to transfer funds to anyone in the United States, regardless of where their financial institution. This service can be accessed directly from your Personal Online Banking, and if you'd like to learn more, you're welcome to check out the link here: https://go.td.com/2q2Yodj.
With TD Bank's Send Money feature, it's important to note that transfers must be performed using a Checking account, and unfortunately cannot be debited from a Savings account, as a debit card is required. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and if you're still interested in performing a transfer from your Savings account to an account at another financial institution, we'll still be happy to help.
When you're unable to take advantage of Send Money, we'd like to recommend that you visit your nearest TD Store location, during lobby hours, to speak with a Customer Service Representative about having a wire transfer performed. Wire transfer can be performed internationally or domestically at any TD Store location during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Should you decide that you'd like to perform a wire transfer from your Savings account, before your visit, it's important to note that you may need to obtain some information from your payee. The information needed can vary depending on if you'll be sending an international or domestic wire transfer, and we'll gladly provide you with both sets of instructions just in case.
To send a domestic wire you will need the name, address and ABA routing number of the receiving bank, as well as the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary's address, and their account number.
To send an international wire, you will need:
· The full name, address (including city, state/province, country), and account number of the person/business (for Euro Zone countries – IBAN – International Banking Account Number) you are sending money to
· The full name and address (including city, state/province and country) of the financial institution receiving the funds
We also recommend reaching out to the other financial institution to determine if any additional information is required. Additionally, it's also important to note that when initiating a wire transfer, a fee may be assessed to your account, and we recommend reviewing our Fee Schedule here: https://go.td.com/2lbbfGg for more information.
We hope you found all this information helpful, Greta, and thanks again for joining us on TD Helps.
Have a fantastic rest of your day!
