Great question, Steven and thanks for connecting with us on TD Helps! We're more than happy to tell you more about transfers.
One of the exciting features we offer via www.tdbank.com is our External Transfers feature.
External Transfers are used if you're sending money between your personal account with TD Bank and your account at another Financial Institution. This option is available via Online Banking and you're welcome to send or receive money using this feature.
If you are already enrolled for Online Banking, please click here to log in: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. If you're not yet enrolled, please find our enrollment self-service link at: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to sign up. You'll need your account number, Visa debit card/ATM number, your Social Security number and email address. Once there, you will need to choose Personal from the drop down box and complete three steps. After those 3 steps are completed, you will have immediate access to your account(s) online.
After logging onto your account, please choose the "Transfers" tab. Then click on "Transfer to Accounts Outside TD Bank." You will then be asked to accept a user agreement and review the fee schedule.
After the enrollment is completed, you may continue to schedule a transfer by adding your account at a different institution. To do so, select "Add a New Account." You will then be prompted to select the type of account followed by the account and routing numbers. Once you enter the required fields, the transfer service will then display whether or not you can make an immediate transfer. In some cases, a trial deposit is initiated at the receiving institution for verification purposes. You’re welcome to check out http://bit.ly/1jXKYqq for all of the exciting details.
When sending an External Transfer, you will have two delivery options, three-day or next-day delivery. To qualify for the next-day delivery option, you must wait 90 days from your first successful three-day transfer and must not have had any transactions that overdrew your account in the past 90 days. Please note, fees may apply for the External Transfer service. For the Transfers Terms and Conditions please see: http://bit.ly/1lkiC6K, and for more information on the fee schedule, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. If you find you have any questions about using the service, or need assistance with your online enrollment, please contact a Digital Banking Specialist anytime 24/7 at 800-493-7562 who can assist you over the phone.
Please note that funds can be transferred to another Financial Institution within the United States using this method.
If you would like to send funds internationally, this can be completed at any TD Bank Store near you by sending an International Wire Transfer. To complete this, you must request wiring instructions from the financial institution to which you are sending the funds. Then you can visit your nearest TD Bank Store, and for the TD Bank location nearest you, please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please review additional information on sending international wires at http://bit.ly/1oowsYN. When you are ready to send your international wire transfer, you will need to provide the foreign bank our SWIFT address, which is NRTHUS33XXX, as well as obtain their SWIFT address, which you can obtain by contacting the institution directly.
Please keep in mind that wire transfer fees may apply. For our current Fee Schedule please see here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. We would also recommend checking with the other financial institution to obtain information regarding any additional fees for their services.
We hope this helps you today, Steven! Have a wonderful evening.
