Hello, I am interested in creating a checking account and have a TD bank gift card with 60 dollars on it and if I also pay with 40 dollars in cash, would that be a valid form of pay to create a checking account?

We're so glad to hear you're interested in opening an account with us, Jonathon!
While TD Bank Visa Gift Cards can't be exchanged for cash to deposit, the cash you have is more than sufficient to open an account with us. We generally don't require a minimum deposit amount to open a new account. Please note that many of our accounts do require that a minimum daily balance be maintained, but the good news is that you may have some time to build that balance.
We encourage you to check out our different checking and savings accounts. We have a great compare tool to find the right account for you! Please click here: https://go.td.com/2sx4N2E to look over our accounts. You may even be able to apply online!
If you have any questions or would like to open your account with a representative, please call us at 888-751-9000. We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You're also invited to visit us at any of our Stores. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc. We'd be happy to discuss our accounts and your needs in detail to find the best account for you.
Thank you for your interest in TD Bank, Jonathon. We hope you have a great weekend!
