Hi Christina, thanks for connecting with us through TD Helps. We're glad you came to us with this.
When you're using your TD Bank VISA Debit Card, it can be used anywhere in the country and all over the world wherever the VISA logo is accepted.
If you are planning a trip outside your area, we recommend reaching out to us ahead of time in order to avoid any interruptions to your TD Debit Card usage. A travel notification will allow us to document where you may be using your card. The last thing we want is for your card to have an interruption in service for a legitimate transaction you are making. Please be aware that we will continue to monitor your card activity for your protection even when a travel notification is documented. Also, we recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu. You may also want to review our international travel tips frequently asked questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc .
An easy way to send us a travel notification is to send a Secure Message from your TD Bank online profile. You can log in here http://bit.ly/1eaISlq with your Username and Password and then send us a Secure Message through the Message Center. Upon login, you'll see this option on the left hand side with a link to "Send a Secure Message." Please include your exact travel dates, destinations, and any connecting flight information if applicable.
If you are not yet enrolled in Online Banking for your account and would like to enroll, please click here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. To complete this and have immediate access to your account online, you'll need your account number, debit card number, and Social Security Number handy.
If you don't have all of the required information or can't log in, don't worry. You're also welcome to give us a call to place your travel note, and enroll in Online Banking if needed. A Banking Specialist can assist you 24/7 at 888-751-9000. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that when you use your TD Bank Visa Debit Card while traveling, neither Visa nor TD Bank charges any kind of foreign transaction fees. However, when making cash withdrawals at a Non-TD ATM machine, depending on your account type, fees may apply. Please take a look at our current Fee Schedule to determine if fees would apply to your type of account: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
We hope this information is helpful, Christina. Have a great night!
