Thanks for coming by TD Helps, Paulina. We'd be happy to help provide details regarding your inquiry.
First, we'd like to let you know that our online services, including Bill Pay and Person-to-Person Payments, won't allow for payments made outside the U.S. Typically, direct payments using the routing and account numbers (ACH payments) are also unavailable as a Cross-Border option, as the Automated Clearing House (ACH) is an network used for electronic transactions in the U.S. only.
As you're looking to send funds to an individual who resides in Canada, an option you have is to initiate a wire transfer. We invite you to visit your local TD Bank Store to initiate an outgoing wire transfer to any Financial Institution outside the United States. For hours and locations near you please take a look at: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Once at the Store, you will need to provide TD Bank with the following information:
- The full name, address, including city, state/province, and country and account number of the person/business (for Euro Zone countries – IBAN – International Banking Account Number you are sending money to.
- The full name and address, including city, state/province and country of the financial institution receiving the funds.
- The amount and currency of the transfer.
Transfers happen quickly and securely, depending on the currency you are sending. Some transactions may take longer than others. Check outhttp://bit.ly/1cTejgt for information on any fees associated with wire transfers.
We hope this helps. Have a great one and let us know if you need anything else.
