I wanted to purchase something online from the UK, where the currency is obviously not American money. Will the money taken out of my account be the Uk standards, or in American money? Are there any fees?

We understand your concern, Payton and we'd be glad to discuss.
We are happy to inform you that you can use your TD Visa debit card at any locations that accept VISA across the globe including online! You'll be glad to learn that at this time, TD Bank is not charging international transactions fees when making purchases with your TD debit card outside of the U.S. Please know that when making these types of transactions, the funds debited from your account will be in U.S. dollars and any conversions that need to take place will be done so automatically. Keep in mind that there are no fees assessed for these types of transactions.
If you would like to discuss this in greater detail, we recommend contacting a Banking Specialist 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit any TD Store. To take a look at TD Stores and their hours please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this clears things up, Payton and have a good day.
