Hello Joseph and welcome to TD Helps. We're happy to answer your question.
If your current Home Equity line of credit is called TD EquityAccess PlUS, you can definitely use this line of credit to serve as overdraft protection. A TD Bank EquityAccess PLUS line of credit offers all of the same features as a TD Bank home equity line of credit plus optional overdraft protection. To learn more about TD EquityAccess PLUS, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1rEzCaw. Please be sure to click on "Learn More" which is right underneath TD Bank EquityAccess PLUS option listed in the middle of the screen.
To confirm if this is the type of line of credit you currently have, we invite you to contact our 24/7 Financial Solutions Group at 800-937-5020 at your convenience to speak with one of our Banking Specialists. After account verification, they'd be more than happy to review your line of credit account with you and also confirm the type for you. If you do not have this product type, they may also offer some suggestions in order to apply for this specific line of credit. Also, you may visit any TD Bank Store during normal lobby hours for further assistance. For a listing of TD Bank Stores locations and lobby hours, please see here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Let us know if you have any other questions. We hope you have a nice evening!
