Can i use online banking (without the need to be at a local store) to transfer funds from my checking account to my TD Ameritrade broker account ?

Good morning, Jose! It's great to hear from you today, and we appreciate you bringing your question to TD Helps. We'll be more than happy to assist you with successfully transferring funds to your TD Ameritrade account! Here at TD Bank, we offer an online External Transfer service to all of our Customers, which you'll be able to use to transfer funds to your TD Ameritrade account! To access our External Transfer feature, you'll first want to log into your Personal Online Banking, which you can do by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you haven't yet enrolled in online banking, that's okay, as you can click here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY to get started. To fully enroll, you'll need your account number, debit card number, a valid email address, and your Social Security Number. Once you've logged in, towards the top, left hand corner of your page, you'll want to click on the 'Transfers' tab. From here, you'll be brought to a screen where you can transfer funds between your TD Bank accounts, to accounts you have outside of TD Bank, and even the ability to transfer funds to a friend or family member. As you're looking to transfer funds to your TD Ameritrade Account, you'll want to click the 'With Accounts Outside TD' tab. If you've never used this feature, you may need to accept some terms and agreements before proceeding. Once you're within the External Transfer feature, you'll first want to add your TD Ameritrade account information to ensure that your funds are successfully transferred to your account. To do so, simply click the green 'Add a New Account' hyperlink. You will be asked to select your account type, your brokerage account holder, your account number, and the checking account number linked to your brokerage account. Once this has been completed, press the green 'Next' button to save your information! You'll next be directed back to the External Transfer main screen where you can proceed to enter in the amount of your transfer, your 'From' and 'To' accounts, the date you'd like your transfer to be sent, and even a memo, if you'd like. Once this has been successfully entered, press 'Continue' to finish your transfer!
