Even though TD Bank does not offer EMV (Europay MasterCard and VISA) chip debit cards at this time, we will continue to assess our customers' needs. We are committed to providing financial solutions that meet those needs as they arise. Please stay tuned for updates!
When traveling overseas including Holland & Belgium, you can make ATM withdrawals from any ATM machine that displays the VISA or PLUS logo. Please note; fees may apply when using a non-TD ATM. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your ATM debit card out of the country. At this time, TD Bank does not charge a fee when making purchases with your Visa Debit Card.
It sounds like you have plans to travel. In that case you may want to contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to have a Customer Service Representative place a travel notification on your accounts. You may also send us a Secured Message through Online Banking as well. If you are not enrolled in Online Banking, please click here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Once you are enrolled, please sign into your account and click on the "Customer Service" tab and then select "Send a Message". If you choose this option, please include the exact travel dates, destinations and if there will be any connecting flights, if applicable. If you are unable to call or send us a Secure Message, you can always visit your local TD Bank and have a Customer Service Representative place the travel notes for you.
