I need to send a check to USCIS and they specifically say "Personal checks must be pre-printed with the name of the bank and the account holder. Also, the account holder’s address and phone number must be pre-printed, typed or written in ink on the check. All checks must be typed or written in ink.".
I have a starter check and i want to know if i can add my information by hand to the starter check? And if yes where physically in the check should i add this information?
I'm currently overseas and cannot get new checks.

Good morning and welcome to TD Helps, Mario.
Generally speaking, you can write your name, address and phone number on your starter checks (on the left hand corner). However, we highly recommend speaking with USCIS directly to confirm that it is acceptable. If you have any additional questions for us, you may contact us 24/7 while you're outside the United States by dialing 856-751-9000 or collect with operator's assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 215-569-0518.
Thanks again for writing in, Mario. Have a great one!
