Thanks for joining us here at TD Helps, Peter. We appreciate you looking to TD Bank for your banking needs and would be glad to help.
In most States, the applicant needs to be at least 18 years of age in order to apply for a Credit Card. If you are in one of these states and as your child is 17 years of age, you have the option of opening a TD Credit Card, as the parent, then requesting to add your teen as an authorized user.
We invite you to take a look at our Credit Card options found here: http://bit.ly/TDCrCard. Once you have decided on the best Credit Card for your needs, you can apply online using the link above, or you may call our 24/7 Customer Service Line at 888-561-8861 to apply. Also, you can apply for a Credit Card in any of your local TD Bank Store locations. To find TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
During the application, you have the option of adding an authorize signer. If you prefer, after your application and once approved, you may call us at the number provided above or visit your local TD Store to add your teen as an authorized signer.
Please note, if you are approved, the credit card will normally be mailed to your address on file within 7-10 business days.
Additionally, as your child is 17 years of age, we invite you to check out our TD Go Card. The TD Bank Go Card is a great way to help your teen manage their funds and also for you to keep track of their spending. The TD Go Card is easy to fund. Money may be loaded onto the card by the Account Owner using any Visa or MasterCard, 24 hours a day 7 days a week via the TD Go Card website: http://bit.ly/1wibSus. Please understand, as Savings accounts have ATM only cards (no Visa logo) as you are unable to use this card to transfer funds into the account. We also invite you to check out: http://bit.ly/1gRpCay for our TD Go Card FAQs. Please also see the Terms & Conditions http://bit.ly/1eSK0Du or Account Guide http://bit.ly/1zrVD2w
If you are interested in getting a card for your teen, you can do so by visiting this link: http://bit.ly/1jWLKzt to take you to the "Enrollment" page. Please select the "Enrollment Type" and select "Continue." You will then be asked to create your profile and a series of questions will be asked. Once you've created a profile, you will then be able to add your teen by selecting the "Adding a Teen" button. You will need to provide the teen's information and fund the card. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our Specialists at 855-219-8050.
We hope this helps and please let us know should you have any other questions.
