Hello, Ally! We're glad to have you on TD Helps and appreciate your interest in an account with us. Thanks for writing in!
If you would like to open a joint account with your boyfriend, you're welcome to do so. Joint accounts can be opened in person at any TD Bank location. Please keep in mind that all account holders must be present for the account opening process.
When you visit, you'll need your Social Security number and a valid personal identification such as a Driver's license, State ID, or Passport. Please note that you must be 18 years of age or older in order to open an account.
We encourage you to review our Checking Accounts here: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF, or use our Checking Account Selector at http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU to find an account which suits you and your boyfriend's needs.
If you already have an existing personal account with TD Bank or prefer to open the account by yourself, you can always visit your nearest TD Bank during lobby hours to add your boyfriend as a joint owner. In this case, if you don't already have an account you're welcome to open it online at the links above, or you can give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 and a friendly Specialist can help you.
When you're ready to visit a Store, you'll be happy to know that we offer convenient Store hours and locations. Please look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a listing in your area.
We hope this information is helpful, Ally! Let us know if you have any other questions.
