Hi Kristen, welcome to TD Helps and thank you for sending us your question. We'd be happy to provide ways you would be able to have your Dad make a transfer to your account.
Transferring funds is easy and convenient with our new feature called the "Person-to-Person" transfer, which allows funds to be sent and received via Online Banking. Funds can be sent domestically to any account inside and outside TD Bank without having to visit a Store. The amount of any applicable fees charged for this type of transfer option will depend on the delivery option you choose. Please look here, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt for any applicable fee details.
To use this feature, your Dad must be enrolled in Online Banking if he is a TD Customer. If your Dad has not enrolled yet, that can be done for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. To enroll, your Dad will need to provide his Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card number, account number, and e-mail address. If your Dad does not have a debit or ATM card or needs any assistance enrolling please call 888-751-9000 to speak with one of our Banking Specialists available 24/7. Once he has enrolled for Online Banking, he can select the “Person-to-Person” tab to enroll for this specific feature. For the Terms and Conditions in addition to information on the payment methods and amounts, please check http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
If you would like, Kristen, you could request money from your Dad by using this same feature via your Online Banking, including if your Dad is not a TD account holder. Again, you must be enrolled, if you are not, please follow the steps provided above. Once you've enrolled and are logged in, under the Person-to-Peron tab please select the "Request Money." He will then receive a text or e-mail notification regarding your request and at that point, your Dad can choose what financial institution or account he would like the funds to be debited from.
Please know that if your Dad is not a TD Bank Customer, in using the "Request Money" option; he will need to get in touch with his financial institution for options receiving funds. He can also feel free to get in touch with his financial institution for other ways of transferring funds.
Please keep in mind also that if your Dad is listed as a joint owner on an account of yours, he can simply make a transfer by either calling the number listed above, or visiting his Online Banking profile.
Kristen, we hope all of this information helps, and have a fantastic weekend!
