Good question, Lindsey! We'll be glad to go over the ways that your husband can make a deposit into your account.
You'll be pleased to know that your husband can deposit cash directly into your account at any TD Bank location during lobby hours. As long as he has your full account number, he can make the deposit.
If he wants to deposit a check made payable to you, he is more than welcome to do so with your signature or by writing "For Deposit Only" on the back of the check. If he wants to deposit a check not made payable to you, but made payable to him, he would need to sign an Endorsement Authorization Form. Please understand, you both would need to visit your local TD Bank Store to complete this form together. In this situation, the back of the check must be endorsed by the person who the check is made payable to and the person that is depositing the check before it is presented.
Please note; government or insurance checks can only be deposited into an account where the "Payable to" line of the check matches the signer on the account.
Feel free to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit any TD Bank location if you have any questions, Lindsey. Take care and have a good day!
