Welcome to TD Helps, Asri. We'd be glad to help.
Direct deposit is a great way to ensure funds are available on the date designated by the depositor.
Generally speaking, in order to accurately process a direct deposit, the depositor must have correct routing number, account number, and they must have encoded the account properly as either a Checking or a Savings account. As long as the above information is provided correctly by the depositor, funds should be deposited to that account at your choice.
If your mother has been asked by her depositor to provide them with a void check or a direct deposit form, take a look here: https://go.td.com/1sSvhT6 where you can view and print our already prepared form. Once the form has been completed, please have her return it over to her depositor and they'll do the rest!
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 856-751-9000 or 215-569-0518 collect from a land line telephone.
We hope this helps, Asri. Have a good day.
