Great to see you this afternoon and thanks for inquiring about a credit card with us!
First, we'd like to let you know that we don't currently offer the option of co-signing a credit card and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Also, although we do offer the option of adding an authorized user to your own TD credit card account, any information regarding the account usage would be reported to the credit bureaus for the account owner only, rather than the users.
For this reason, we do recommend that your son apply for his own card, and he may do so with us if he is 18 years of age or older. You can both review the types of cards we have available on this page: http://bit.ly/UpkJy4 to see what you like. For these types of cards, any applicant can apply online at that link, by phone at 888-561-0608, or at any of our Stores: http://bit.ly/TDStores. To view the general terms for a personal credit card, please see here: http://bit.ly/1klVfbF. The specific terms of the card, such as the APR and credit limit, would be extended at the time of approval.
We also offer secured credit cards as another option for our Customers, and your son may apply for a secured card at any TD location during lobby hours. Athough applications for these cards can only be made at a TD Store, if you or your son have any questions you're welcome to give our Card Services Specialists a call 24/7 at the number listed above. And you're both welcome to take a look here for the Personal Credit Card Agreement for both the TD Easy Rewards Secured and TD Cash Rewards Secured: http://bit.ly/1wtjCwy.
Also, we have compiled some helpful information on part of our website called “Building a Good Credit Score." We invite you and your son to check it out by visiting this link http://bit.ly/1nUzsyy.
We hope this answers any questions you may have, Edward.
Please reply to us using the button in the top right with any other thoughts!
Thanks again for your interest and we hope you enjoy your weekend.
